Hervier ha indirizzato a Ernest Malinvaud, segretario della Société Botanique de France, la richiesta di Gibelli, desideroso di avere notizie di Decaisne. Gli viene risposto che sul bollettino della società, presente a Bologna, sono riportati vari elogi sul botanico. Anche Bonnier, molto legato a Decaisne, sarebbe in grado di fornire le informazioni richieste. Reverchon è a Santa Teresa e andrà presto sui monti di Tempio Pausania.
